In 2015 while visiting The Merchandise Mart in Chicago, our designers have taken note of three exciting trends they believe are worth keeping an eye on. While these trends all fall under the category of "cabinetry", their applications extend into more than just a row of cupboards in the kitchen. Bar design, living room entertainment centers, dining room display, and more, are all areas of the home that these new designer trends might find a place.

If you’re planning to remodel a bathroom or build a bathroom addition to your home pay special attention to illumination. Bathroom lights and mirrors can create dynamic effects. When selecting lights for a bathroom consider light sources, functional lighting and aesthetics. Mirrors play into the design because they are an important element in a bathroom, reflect light and can add architectural detail.
There’s no place like home and more people are opting for “staycations” by creating personal backyard retreats. If you have a family with school age children, are a “Baby Boomer” with adult kids and grandchildren or are a person who loves their home, a yard with amenities such as a pool, hot tub, outdoor cooking area, firepit, outdoor fireplace, foot paths and gardens is a delightful haven. The best part is that it’s just outside your back door.
